Active Edge Partnership

15/03/2019

Cooper means Business thanks to our partnership with Active Edge Race Team.

Active Edge was formed in 2017 by Deborah Rycraft and Sam Woodfield while Sam was recovering from a period of depression. They wanted to encourage a team ethos of putting the riders mental and physical well-being first above race results. The partnership with Cooper BMW will also help raise mental health awareness as the team are able to carry the logos of #GritYorshire2019 and #trainbrave on the vehicle. Both organisations support riders with their physical and mental health ensuring they are always taking care of themselves and continuing to train and perform at their best without causing any ill effects.

Sam Woodfield, Owner of Active Edge added, ‘We are thrilled to be partnering with Cooper BMW - the car will assist the team in travelling the length and breadth of UK and Europe while raising awareness for two fantastic charities. We now have peace of mind that we can attend UCI races with spare bikes and wheels making mechanical issues a lot easier to fix. The funded roof rack will allow us to travel further afield as it will create more room in the car to be used for kit, food, spares, and additional riders, easing the pressure on the team and maintaining their welfare.

Scot Grant, Head of Business for Cooper BMW Colchester : We’re excited to be partnering with Active Edge and we look forward to supporting such an inspirational team in 2019.’
